VACANCY: TSU PROTECTION SERVICES – SENIOR SECURITY SUPERVISOR – SIBANYE COOKE, RANDFONTEIN

We are looking for a Senior Security Supervisor to join our team at one of our major mining contracts, Sibanye Cooke, Randfontein. Minimum Requirements:

Education and certifications:

Minimum PSIRA Grade C (Renewed)

Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent

SAPS Firearm Competency Certificate for Handgun, Shotgun and Self-loading Rifle

PFTC or Sasseta statement of results for Handgun, Shotgun and Self-loading Rifle Business Purposes

Armed Response/Reaction/Tactical Training

Valid driver’s license

Other essential requirements and skills:

No Criminal record

Excellent administration/organizational skills

Great written and verbal communication skills in English

Team building skills

Coaching and mentoring skills

Very good relationship skills

Neat and presentable

Physically and mentally fit for challenging environment

Experience:

Mining Security experience

Supervisory experience

Security Industry experience

Responsibilities:

The selected candidate will be critically important in the day-to-day operation and administration of TSU operations, as well as building a great team culture, cultivating strong relationships, get aligned on goals and expectations, stay engaged in the work, and create space for accountability and learning.

As the Senior Security Supervisor, you will be expected to create and maintain engagement with your supervisors, team leaders and security officials, which will improve their performance, desire to stay with TSU and ultimate happiness at work.

You will be responsible to supervise that the 3 PPPs are actively upheld:

1. Protect the premises and property of the client.

2. Prevent illegal trespassing.

3. Prevent any criminal activities from happening

In order to supervise the above to a level of excellence you will make sure that you and your teams:

• Do night patrols

• Provide visible patrolling on the site

• Provide Immediate armed reaction

• Do Incident management

• Provide Close protection and operational support for critical services

Make sure that:

• PSIRA certificates are valid by conducting quarterly reviews and give notice to members if their certificates are close to expiring.

• Bi-Annual Criminal Checks on all Security Personnel.

• Make sure that firearm competency certificates are valid and remains valid for all staff.

• Compiling of crime statistics & reports, identifying crime trends, and placing preventative measures in place.

• Key Control Lists.

• Proper Firearm control is in place and that all staff are compliant with the Firearms Control Act.

• Supervising sick notes and annual leave to make sure that all staff take annual leave according to a leave roster.

• You will attend daily, weekly, and monthly meetings as scheduled.
